Igueben LG Boss Promises On Economic Development

As a way of partnering with the State Government to boost infrastructural development and better the lives of his staff as well as the generality of the people of the locality especially the youths, the Chairman of Igueben Local Government Area.
Hon. Felix Imosisili has executed infrastructural projects that could better the lots of the people of the locality.
Some of the projects includes the 22 Chalets Civic and resource Centre Blocks of open stalls at the Igueben main market, 12 blocks of 3-bedroom flats to accommodating for top executives of the council, customary Court Judge and the Divisional Police Officers (DPO).
Others are the rehabilitated main market motor-park, Union Bank, Oboh Hospital as well as the Ewosa, Ebile, Ekpon township roads which have been completed and motorable.
The council chairman, who assured that he Civil/Resource Centre would be ready for commissioning within the next three weeks and would serve as a revenue source for the council, however pointed out that out of the 100 per cent job opportunities that would be available, 95 per cent is for the youths across the local government council, adding that the chalets of the Civil Centre would be named after 18 Local Government Councils of Edo State.
The Chairman further explained that his administration was poised to bring socio-economic development to the door steps of the people of the locality, hence the massive construction of roads through which the development stride could be extended to the nooks and crannies of the local government.
He commended the state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the recent importation of drilling Rigs which he said are being used to tackle the water problem in Igueben.
He said; “We are trying to key into the programme to see if we can take advantage of it and sink more boreholes for our people.”
