Meet Others’ Needs For Your Breakthrough
By ERNEST IKHUREIGBE
The Holy Bible states in Gen 8:22 “while the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”. There is a season of sowing and reaping. There can be no meaningful harvest without sowing. you need to sow seeds for a harvest to come and the seed you sow and where it’s sown are determinant of your prosperity Gal 6:7 affirms that “be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.
Beloved, there is need for everyone to know and acknowledge God as the source of all good and perfect things (gifts). James 1:17. He liberally gives out according to his own will. He does not hearken to your request because you have asked but because you have provoked or reminded him of his promise to mankind through your obedience and your act of humble desire. 2 Chron 7:14. “If my people which are called by my name: shall humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways… then will I hear from heaven!... and will heal their land”.
I have now known that there are clear cut principles you and I must abide with and carry out if we desire to possess our possessions.
Everybody has a need that is lacking in one’s life. It’s prominent in some people that every eye could see it. But in some other it’s hidden but God could reveal it through His impartation by the Holy Spirit or your good conscience.
However, in whatever form it’s identified, you must not or never fail to rise and meet such needs, especially when it’s within your means and capability. Nothing should deter or dissuade you from meeting such devine responsibility. Here lies your path way out of your lingering predicament into your pre-destined breakthrough, 1 Corith 2 9-10 confirms God’s promise to those that express his love towards him by doing his own will. What you would experience will be better imagined than experienced “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Beloved, any good deed done towards man is an affirmation of God that is in you! And God keeps such records so as to give you your own harvest.
Givers never lack, but the ones with evil intentions do lack because God never appreciates such gestures. Brethren, you need to ask your self, do I give out for lust or to elicit God’s response to my own needs”.
James 4:3 says “you ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss that you may consume it upon your lusts. Giving is an act of asking from your creator. Paul told the Philippians in Phil 4:17 “not because I desire a gift but I desire fruit that may abound to you account”. So that God can supply all your needs Phil 4:19.
There is no doubt that when you sow on good soil, you would reap a harvest of plenty. In the book of 2 Kings 4:8-11. A Shunemite woman through inspiration was able to recognize the need of a man of God. Elisha, he made provision for his food. The Bible say. She constrained him to eat bread: and she did it as often as the man passed. This, she did it out of her volition, probably without the consent of her husband.
A time, however, came when she felt, the man of God desired a place of abode to rest whenever he is on his missionary journey. She conferred in her husband and pleaded that a room with basic needs be provided for this man, who according to her, “I perceived that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually”, her husband consented and the man stayed with them. Because of his outstanding marginality and hospitability by this family, the man had to gulget his brain to also identify the nee d of this great woman and her husband: his own servant, Gehazi was able to identify the “lack of this benevolent family – which was a child of their own. The man of God invited the woman and made a solemn and prophetic declaration, about this season, according to the time of life, thou shall embrace a son”. So it was 2 kings 4:17. “The woman conceived and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her”.
Beloved, you may be prosperous in all other things, but God is ever there for you in the only area that has brought reproach into you life. You know it and God can do it. You must pray and many men of God might have laid their hands on you, yet no relief. Think of something to sow in the life of a man of God, you perceive as an holy man or your church. As you take this decision God will embraced you accordingly. Remain blessed.
