2010: A Prayer For Nigeria

By OSADOLO FRANCIS

Glory be to the Lord God Almighty for crossing us over from 2009 to 2010 safely.

Blessed be the name of the Lord God Almighty for seeing our beloved nation through the year 2009 and now into 2010.

We adore you, Oh Lord God, for your mercy toward Nigeria. It is out of your grace that we enjoy relative peace in 2009, despite the little scourge of Boko Haram and militancy in the Niger Delta. Thank you, oh Lord our God for your great compassion for us in Nigeria.

There are nations that do not know peace but here we are. In spite of lack of electricity and petroleum products, we are privileged to be in peace, compare to Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq and others. Thanks, Oh Lord, our God, that your mercy and grace that saved us from tsunami flood, earthquake and terrible winds will not fare us also in 2010. For many lost their lives to these natural disasters, but here we are not appreciating you enough. Thanks Lord for your great love for us in this country.

Oh Lord our God, the creator of all things, in 2010, may you recreate us for better things, in Jesus name, Amen. Oh God, may you, in your infinite mercy and grace, revive Nigeria. May you reform our hearts towards being truly our brother’s keepers. May you cleanse us with the blood of Jesus Christ and give us a new heart of true love for you and our neighbours. Oh Lord God of Nigeria, the Almighty redeemer, may you divinely reform our polity. May you transform our hearts to take politics as a means of rendering service to the public. May you steer our hearts from political sins of thuggery, ballot box snatching, unconstitutionality and dumping of true electoral process. May you also accelerate our political judicial cases so that justice will not be denied the true election winners.

May you cause us to have political judicial courts that will be solely liable or responsible to electoral cases to avoid snail speed justice. May you lead us into a political revolution were truly ambitious political leaders will emerge. May you destroy the spirit of pride in us which usually gives rise to god-fatherism in our polity. May you deliver us from draftee leadership, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you save us from mediocre leadership, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you save us from grab, grab or greedy leadership, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh Lord God, the unrivalled avenger, may you give endless troubles to every kingmakers forcing bad leadership on us in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you, Oh God, withdraw your protection from them as you did to Sani Abacha, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you, Oh Sovereign God, make 2010 unbearable for every kingmaker responsible for bad leadership in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Father Lord God Almighty, may you send a swarm of locust against the vineyard and businesses of every kingmaker responsible for bad leadership in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Father Lord God Almighty, may you send a swarm of locust against the vineyard and businesses of every kingmaker responsible for bad leadership in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you bless them with boils and gnats, in the name of Jesus, Amen. May you stuff their lives with lice and frogs, as you did in the land of Egypt, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Father Lord God Almighty, as many as they are, kingmakers, who through bad leadership denied us pipe borne water, may you turn their waters into blood as you did in the land of Egypt, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you send thunder and lightening to destroy their comfort in 2010, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord God Almighty, may you send unquenchable fire to raze down their good health, peace, joy and comfort as their kingmaker roles have done to most Nigerians. May you turn their bread and wine into poison, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

In 2010, may you make their powers to fail them, because you alone are the ultimate power that can lift up one, and bring down another in righteousness. As many of them that refused to change, denounce renounce and begin to use their power and life to bring about positive politicking, in 2010, may you, Oh Almighty God, disappoint them, disgrace them and do to them according to the prayers so far, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you bless Nigeria with right leadership who will be true shepherds of your people, my compatriots, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh Lord my Almighty God, it is poor or bad leadership that is responsible for lack of electricity in Nigeria. May you purge the electricity sector of everyone responsible for our lack of electricity. May you cause every contractor to lose favour, for failing or refusing to give us electricity in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause their powers to fail them as they refuse to give us power in this country, in the name of Jesus. Amen. As they derive joy in keeping us in darkness, may you keep them in perpetual darkness in 2010 and beyond, in he name of Jesus. Amen. As they scare away investors from the Nigerian economy, may you scare favour, good health, comfort, joy and peace away from their lives, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

As Achan suffer the same fate with his household, may you cause them to suffer the fate of Achan, in he name of Jesus. May you curse their bread, wine and water for the blessings they have been denying your people, my compatriots, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you, oh consuming fire, make 2010 begin their downward fall into the valley from the mountain top they are enjoying now, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you make heir ways o be dark and slippery, as the angel of the Lord chase them all over the places, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh Lord God of justice, may you judge every looter of public fund in 2010 with mysterious terrible losses, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Bu if they turn in their loot, may the blessing of the repentant soul be their lot. If they refuse to pay restitution, may you bless their lives with gloomy days from 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. As they looted our public fund, may you, oh God of vengeance, send looters, plunderers and robbers into their lives, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

May you cause their businesses and investments to begin to crumble in 2010 irredeemably, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you, oh mighty one in battle, caused the health, comfort, joy and peace of every public fund looter to be looted, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you,
Oh God of justice, nullify the justice of plea-bargaining on the head of every public fund looter, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh heavenly king of glory, you are good, kind and gracious enough to bless Nigeria with petroleum products. You are a generous God indeed, otherwise, other nations would have it. But some of our leaders have turned your blessing to a curse for us in Nigeria. Oh God Almighty in 2010 may you scatter the mafias, the cartels, the bunkerers responsible for this blessing-turn-curse in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause the fuel to turn fire in their lives, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause the fuel to fuel their unending troubles in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. In 2010, may you cause every ship carrying crude oil out of Nigeria never to reach its destination for refinement, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

May you cause these cartels to begin to slip down the valley with their oily lives, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you, oh God of Justice, overthrow everyone responsible for our inability to make policy to build more refineries in Nigeria for crude oil refinement in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause their wealth, power and influence to fail them in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh God, double cross them in 2010 and let their intelligence fail them, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause more refineries to be built in Nigeria in 2010 with a policy thwarting the exportation of our crude oil, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh Lord God Almighty, may you overthrow everyone responsible for our existing four refineries not working as they are supposed to, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you make the saboteurs’ lives dysfunctional, in the name of Jesus. Amen. In 2010, may you bless these Nigerian enemies in the petroleum sector with a good number of untold hardship as they have caused their compatriots, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you cause them never to find solution to even the least of the hardship in the name of Jesus. Amen.

In 2010, may you, Oh righteous God, bless Nigeria with the leadership that will ban crude oil export and fuel import into Nigeria, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

In the economic sector, in 2010, Oh God, may you disappoint and disgrace every saboteur of our economy, in the name of Jesus. Amen. In the banking sector, in 2010, may you cause the health of every saboteur there to be plundered, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May you bring these banking enemies to true justice, in the name of Jesus. May you overthrow them from their high pedestal into the valley in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father Lord God Almighty, may you prosper Nigeria in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh Lord, the ever faithful God, answer these prayers prayed with the consciousness of the scripture that says, “The wicked will not continue to rule over the land of the righteous, for if they do (continue), the righteous may be made to sin against the LORD” Psalms 125:3. Bless every homosexual and lesbian promoters with dead sexual organs and urge, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh God, may you move us forward in 2010 in Nigeria, to the glory of your name. May you pour your spirit upon us to help us to be what you created us to be in Nigeria in 2010, in the name of Jesus. May your mercy, grace and justice not fail us in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

May you cause every Nigerian enemy to fail in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May our enemies, as individuals, fail woefully in 2010, in the name of Jesus. Amen. May anyone who will not let us go into our promised land in 2010, suffer the fate of the pharaoh that refused to let Israel go, in the name of Jesus. Amen. For the righteous, this year 2010, Oh God, let them not know peace, let it not be well with them, in Jesus name. Amen.
