Youths Raid Warehouse, Cert Away Ramadan Food Items

MAIDUGURI - Some irate youths have raided a government warehouse in Maiduguri and carted away many bags of rice and sugar.

Reports say that the food items in purchased were urchased by the Borno Government for distribution to politicians, religious groups and the less-privileged during the Ramadan period.

The youths, armed with cutlasses, knives and other dangerous weapons,overpowered the few policemen guarding the warehouse.

They swiftly loaded the food items on their motorcycles and some of them carried two to three bags of the food items.
