Justice Akhigbe dies at 77

BENIN CITY – The first Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice Jacob Osagie Akhigbe is dead.

A statement by his son, Barr. Emmanuel Akhigbe, said Justice J. O. Akhigbe died at his residence in Benin City on August 23, 2010 during a brief illness.
The statement as

serted that the late Justice J. O. Akhigbe would be remembered for laying the foundation which ensured the accelerated development of the justice department in Edo State.

Justice Akhigbe died at the age of 77, and is survived by wife and many children.
