THE Chairman of Petroleum Monitoring Committee, Mr. Amen Osunde has reiterated that the committee’s duty is to make sure that petroleum products dealers sell to the public at stipulated pump price and to stop the hoarding of the product.

Lord Amen Osunde made this known while inspecting some filling stations as part of the routine checks to make sure the products gets to the consumers in the state.

He however, assured the public that the committee is working round the clock to stop the artificial scarcity of petroleum products created by dealers.

While assuring the public of the committee’s effort at making sure the products are available to them, the chairman reminded dealers that diversion of petroleum, products is an offence as this is the major cause of artificial scarcity of the product in the state.
