Key into God’s divine providence, Mrs Endurance Odubu charges Xtians

By ANDY EGBON

BENIN CITY – The wife of Edo State Deputy Governor, Deaconess Endurance Odubu has charged Christians to strategically position themselves in order to effectively key into God’s divine providence.

She gave the charge yesterday in her remark at the 2009 thanksgiving service organised by the Eagles Ministry International Incorporation, Upper Ekewan Road Branch, Benin City.

According to her, God is more interested in the well-being of the souls than in material acquisition of man.

She disclosed that, it takes only a redeemed and regenerated soul to access the throne of grace.

While urging Christians to develop an attitude of thanksgiving to God for his goodness in their lives, she said thanksgiving is a symbolic proclamation and the acknowledgement of God’s pre-eminent control over the activities and progress of his children.

“Through thanksgiving, we demonstrate, in concrete terms that all we have been able to achieve in life were made possible by God,” she said.

On the contrary, the absence of thanksgiving, she said, inhibits the grace of God in the lives of his children, adding that, “all Christians must avoid them like plagues in order to move forward.”

The General Superintendent/Senior Pastor of the Ministry, Rev’d Efe Omodamwen in his sermon remarked that thanksgiving is an access to God’s divine favour.

He urged the congregation to give to the propagation of the gospel in order to move God to do greater things in their lives.
