Ehigie Charges New Decampees

By ROLAND OSAKUE

BENIN CITY – The Chairman of Action Congress Party in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Hon. Matthew Ehigie (JP) has enjoined the decampees from other political parties to the AC to work assiduously for the party in order to move the state forward.

Hon. Ehigie, who spoke with newsmen in Benin City at the weekend on the recent development of the party in Edo State said the governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his deputy, Dr. Pius Odubu were responsible for the positive transformation of the state.

He explained that those who dumped their former parties to join the AC were not compelled to do so, as they were matured and responsible enough to know that the era of using the state resources to service one person in the name of godfather was no longer in vogue.

According to him, the massive development the state is under-going now is the brain child of the Comrade Governor and therefore urged the people to join hands with the government to move the state forward.

The chairman, who was optimistic of the party sweeping all subsequent elections in the state said the era of political freedom had come to the state, as he pointed out that AC was one big family that was prepared to listen to the views of the people.
