The Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole had approved the construction of the on-going permanent site project for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) during the visit of the new NYSC coordinator, Mr. J. O. Atilola, the camp director, Mrs C. A. Ayeni and the Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Mrs Anita Evbuomwan to the State Governor recently at the Government House Benin-City.
As it is well known that the state Governor had always been rendering supports to corps members in the state, he also promised to give his full support to the scheme as he acknowledged the scheme as one of the important programme in the country.
It is also recalled that NYSC camp was opened yesterday for new batch C corps members. The in-coming corps members were asked to inculcate the act of patriotism which is the primary aim of the scheme and as it has been practiced by their predecessors. Failure of which will facilitate due punishment to any person involved. This was pronounced by the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Hon. Anita Evbuomwan at the formal’s opening at the Okada wonderland camp.
