Edo Wrestling Association Gets New Chairman

BENIN CITY- A new development has taken place in the Edo State Wrestling Association with the emergence of Pastor Oscar Orji as the new chairman to pilot the affairs of the association to the next level of the wrestling sport.


This interesting development was made known to OBSERVERsports by the association secretary, Mr. Benjamin Ehineboh over the weekend in Benin City, Edo State.


Commenting on the development, the secretary revealed that the new wrestling boss has all it takes to redefine the game in Edo State as he has called for the association’s programme to commence implementations of his promises.


“Pastor Orji is a philanthropist, who we are sure will stand by his words in terms of moving wresting game forward in Edo State.”


“As I speak, we have asked for a proposal to enable him know our programme and see how things work out.”


“He is already talking of organizing grassroots wrestling competition as preparation towards the next national sports festival because he wants Edo State to retain its premier position in Nigerian sports.


“All these are encouraging and enough to know a serious minded person who want the best for our sports,” he explained.


Also, the chief coach wrestling, Amos Imade has expressed his heartfelt happiness over the new wrestling boss and advised him to live up to expectations as government alone cannot handle everything about sports.
