BENIN CITY - The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South South Geo-Political Zone, Chief Edet Nkpubre has condemned the alleged bomb attack on the official residence of a Judge in the Edo state Judiciary, Hon. Justice Roland Amaize.
Speaking with newsmen in Benin City yesterday, Chief Nkpubre said PDP as a party, condemned violence but expressed satisfaction that the Police had begun investigation into the incidence.
On his mission to Edo State, the South South PDP chieftain explained that it was a solidarity visit to the state Governor, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor to assure him of the party’s support in the election petition at the Appeal Court adding that it was a follow-up visit to his earlier outing shortly after the judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal, assuring the governor to “fear not.”
Chief Nkpubre said the national leadership of the party would abide by the decision of the court on the crisis in the state PDP and hinted that there would be soft-landing for all stakeholders in the matter after the court ruling.
He described the crisis in PDP in Egor Local Government Area as a party issue that would be resolved politically.
The national Vice-Chairman of South South PDP was accompanied by the Zonal party Secretary, Hon. Patrick Aguinede and Zonal Party Youth Leader, Ralphael Usuomon.
