Stanev Promises 10 Goals For Heartland

OWERRI- Heartland’s Bulgarian striker, Peter Stanev has promised to score ten goals this season for the Owerri based club.

Stanev who joined Heartland from Bulgarian side, Akademic Sofia told KickOffNigeria.com that he does not want to make a promise he cannot keep and as such wants to be modest.

“Nigerian football is very hard but I am doing my best to keep up with it,” Stanev told Kick Off Nigeria. com.

“They are very physical and I know it will take me time to adjust to the way football is played here.
“Communication is also a problem for me but I know in another two months I will speak good English and I will score more easily.

“That is why I am promising just ten goals. It is a target I believe I can meet.

“I enjoy Nigeria and I believe that when the league ends, the fans will remember me. I think Heartland can win the Nigerian League and the Champions League,” Stanev said.

Peter Stanev is yet to play a game for Heartland in the four week old league but featured in the pre-season friendly match against Dolphins in Orlu.
