AGBOR - All roads lead to the College of Education Agbor, Delta State, when she hosts the Annual Colleges of Education Staff Sports Association of Nigeria (CESSAN) Games from November 22nd to November 30th 2008.
Speaking with newsmen on the level of preparations for the event which is expected to draw participants from the over 68 Colleges of Education in the country, the Provost Dr. Emmanuel Tibi said “we are ready as is required for us to host the games”
According to the College of Education Provost, the games which is expected to create a platform for extra-academic interactions among staff of the Institutions has seen a lot of background work.
On security during the games, Dr. Tibi stated that the importance of the College attaches to that area is such that the divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Agbor would head the security sub committee alongside legally recognized vigilantes and the internal security network of the College.
On funding for the games, the College Provost said the State Government has been informed while assurances for support has been received from individuals and Corporate organization.
Dr. Tibi said the games which is expected to boost the economy of the rnstitution’s immediate environment as well as enhance the physical well being of participants would serve as a morale booster for the College and indeed the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s human capital development agenda.
