MASSACHUSETTS – Edo State Governor, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor recently in Denver, Massachusetts, USA expressed his readiness to bring a new meaning to governance by ensuring transformation in the socio-economic development of the state.
He explained that in one way or the other, all local communities in the state had been positively affected.
Prof. Osunbor made the remarks during an interactive session at the 2008 Edo annual convention held in Massachussetts, USA.
He said the Labour Force was being logged into the computer literacy age with Computer training and the provision of desk top computers for ministries, departments and boards to replace manual type-writers.
He emphasised that the building of infrastructures is spread across the state and that the 18 local government councils had been put on a pro-active lane for the growth of infrastructures at the grassroots by taking a cue from the state government.
The governor, who enumerated the various projects, policies and programmes embarked upon by his administration to the Edos in Diaspora, disclosed that the state government has a website on which the councils would also display their projects and other activities.
Prof. Osunbor encouraged them to attract foreign investment back to their home state, especially as the state government had make effort to reduce incidents of crime and made lives and property safe.
While thanking them for their support to his administration, Prof. Osunbor urged them to sustain such patriotic gesture and that they should always keep in touch with happenings in Edo State.
