Coach Franklin Rates Insurance High

By FIDELIS IGBINIGIE

Coach Franklin Howard of UNICEM Rover of Calabar says Bendel Insurance Football club of Benin is a good side that deserves a place in the Nigeria Premier League.

Howard, one time captain of the defunct new Nigeria Bank FC said exclusively after Insurance spanked his boys 2-0 in a league tie that, the team was capable of beating some of the clubs in the premier league.

Howard then wondered why the Coach Roland Ewere tutored team is not doing well in the National league.

The Ex-International told OBSERVER Sports that, the fans turn-out in their match against Insurance was appalling.

“I am disappointed at the turn-out of fans in this match, the boys played so well, and yet no crowd to cheer them up”

“Again, I can’t believe that a team like Insurance is at the bottom of the league, with the kind of free-flow football exhibited buy the team.”

He however noted that with little incentives, the team could still make it to the premier league.

He however blamed his goalkeeper, Mohammed Tajudeen for their loss to the Benin team.

“The second goal was too cheap. Tajudeen ought to parry the ball and not attempt to holding it. That led to the second goal, and that sealed our hope of equalizing” he concluded.
