THE results of the London-based Economist Intelligence Unit’s Democracy Index 2008 released on Thursday classified Nigeria along side 51 other countries as authoritarian regimes. Nigeria with an overall score of 3.53 out of the maximum point of 10 placed 124 of the 167 countries ranked.
