BOMADI (Delta)- Local government chairmen in Delta have been advised to make judicious use of allocation to the councils or face the consequences.
Mr. Peter Nwaoboshi, the state chairman of PDP gave this advice in Bomadi at the commencement of the party’s monitoring of projects in the local governments areas.
Nwaoboshi said the party would ensure that its programmes and promises to the electorate were properly supervised and implemented.
He said the council chairmen would give account of their stewardship, saying the party would ensure that revenue allocated to the councils were judiciously used.
The party chairman urged traditional rulers to monitor developmental projects being carried out by the council bosses in their domain.
Nwaoboshi said the project monitoring team of the party would enable the party to evaluate the performance of those elected and appointed into various positions of trust on the party’s platform.

Prince Kalanama Penawou, the Chairman, Bomadi Local Government, said the council had been able to bring the dividends of democracy to the people in the areas of education, health, payment of staff salaries and infrastructure development.
Penawou also said the council had shown tremendous amount of courage in tackling the needs of a long marginalised people.
He said more projects that would affect the lives of the indigenes of the local government positively was in the pipeline.
