Leaders Of Egor AC Visit Majority Leader

BENIN CITY - The Leaders of Action Congress (AC) in Egor Local Government Area, led by Elder Edo Emovon have on Wednesday paid a solidarity visit to the Deputy Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu.


Addressing the retinue of leaders from Egor, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bright omokhodion noted that Egor was strategically fundamental to the state and urged them to be vigilant for security.


He commended the Deputy Speaker on his eloquence and noted that their voted for hon. Paul Ohonbamu as their representative was not in cvain.


While thanking them for the visit, the Speaker solicited for their continued prayers to the lawmakers,
In his comment, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu explained to his constituents that the recent fracas in the House of Assembly led to the emergence of its new leadership which had made the House very vibrant adding the people from Egor were ever conscious and that his loyalty was still intact.


Hon. Ohonbamu, who sang one of the popular songs of late Fela Anihulakpo, assured them that he would not let their down.


While thanking the Egor are leaders for identifying with the parliamentary revolution, the Deputy Speaker enjoined them to sustain their prayers and support for the legislative and executive arms of government.


Speaking on behalf of the Egor Leaders earlier, Elder Edo Emovon said they were on a solidarity visit to identify with the new leadership of the House even as he decried the use of dangerous weapons during the recent crisis in the House of Assembly as well as the planting of bomb near it.


While asserting that the vote for Hon. Ohonbamu was not misplaced, Elder Emovon congratulated the members of the Principal Officers Council (POC) in the House and assured them including Hon. Ohonbama of their support and prayers.


High-point was the presentation of a congratulatory card to the Deputy Speaker.
