IRUEKPEN- Saint Stella- Maris Catholic Church, Iruekpen, Edo State built in memory of the late First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs. Stella Obasanjo, is to be formally dedicated on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00am by the Bishop of Uromi Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Akubueze.

The church building, Rev. father’s residence as well as the catechist and staff quarters were built by the father of the former First Lady, Dr. Christopher Abebe.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the Dedication Publicity Committee, Prof. A.U. Omoregie indicates that Edo State Governor, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor will be the distinguished guest of honour at the Erection and Dedication of the church which will attract dignitaries from different parts of the country.
