Enyimba Leave For Cairo Tomorrow

LAGOS - Enyimba International of Aba are expected to leave for Cairo tomorrow for the second leg of their CAF Champions League semi-final clash with Al Ahly.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match is billed for Friday in the Egyptian capital.

Tonnex Chukwu, Enyimba Media’s Officer, told NAN in a telephone interview that travel arrangements had been completed with Egypt Air.

Chukwu said the team was training hard for the encounter as they were confident of good outing in Cairo , adding that they had not given up, in spite of the goalless draw in the first leg.

The spokesman said the club used the rescheduled Globacom Premier League tie against JUTH of Jos on Wednesday to acclamatise in the Plateau State capital.

“We found the Jos weather suitable for acclamatisation,’’ but ruled out playing a friendly in Plateau before leaving for Cairo .

NAN reports that the Aba side face a daunting task in the return leg after failing to score in the first leg.
