Benin CITY- The inaugural edition of the Prof. Ambrose Alli Distinguished Leadership Annual Lecture (PADLL), will take place on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the NUJ Press Centre, Benin City, Edo State.
The lecture which is being organized by Visionary Leadership Development service, a non-governmental organisation in honour of the late Second Republic Governor of the defunct Bendel State, will be delivered by Chief Ebenezer Babatope, former minister and chieftain of the defunct Unity Part of Nigeria (UPN).
The theme of the lecture which is, “Education, Leadership and challenge of nation-building.”
According to a statement issued by the organizers is aimed at keeping the memory of Prof. Alli alive; showcase and reward Selflessness, create political awareness, and raise the consciousness of Nigerians to understand the purpose of leadership, among others.
PADLL was borne out of the need to fill the yawning leadership gap in society through the provision of leadership solutions in all sectors of society by creating avenues for formal interaction on leadership issues, the statement said.
