Hearing on land case comes up Sept 22

 

UROMI - Hearing has been fixed for September 22, 2008, by an Uromi Magistrate’s Court President-over by F.O. Idiake, in a suit (No/MCN/40C2008) filed against one Flora Edenojie (female).


The accused was alleged to have among others, according to the Prosecuting Police Officer, Sgt. Monday Irabor, sometime this year (2008) at Idumu Ekhuere Egbele Quarters, Uromi, Esan North-East local government area, Edo State, taken possession of a parcel of land belonging to one Ben Ofure Ebhomielen by moulding block on the land; thereby committing an offence punishable under section 82 of the criminal code cap 48 Col.11 law of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria 1976 as applicable in Edo State.


The accused, Flora Edenojie, however pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her at the court on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, and was thereafter granted bail in the sum of N20,000.00.
