IKEJA- More than 60 vehicles have been impounded for violating the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane by using a new device along Ikorodu road to monitor violators.

Mr. Kayode Opeifa, the Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Fashola on Transportation told newsmen at the weekend in Ikeja that 40 of the offenders have had their numbers recorded.”On Sept 11, 20 vehicles were transferred to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) for necessary punitive measures.

“We will assemble these vehicles and their owners for the public to see,” he said, adding that Ikorodu road had been fully illuminated for the purpose of identifying offenders at night.
