BENIN CITY - The Head Coach of Edo State Rugby Football, Williams Ntiese is sure that his wards will perform well in the National Sports Festival which comes up in Kaduna in November.
Ntiese said his wards will begin camping soon and would in the process intensify their training in order that they can be properly prepared psychologically, mentally and physically for the Kaduna festival.
He disclosed that sixty players in the male and female categories are expected to be in camp preparatory for the National Sports Festival.
“Like I said, we hope to have good training. We have to prepare them well because our opponents from some other states are doing the same. WE have to be ready though, we have been training and have been looking forward to a day that the festival will start. We want a situation where Edo will come out smokey! We are not boasting! Thirty players in the male and another thirty female will be in camp.
He stated that Edo State teams (male and female) are not afraid of others who will compete with them during the festival even though the game of rugby is developing faster bow compared to when it started in the country some years back.
