ABUJA - Fresh from emerging runners-up at the recent World Cricket League, African Region Division 2 Championship in South Africa, Nigeria Cricket Federation has started throwing stones at the sports authorities.
In an exclusive chat with brilafm.net, secretary-general of Nigeria Cricket Federation, Dans Adokie insists NSC chairman, Barrister Abdulrahman Hassan Gimba is killing Nigerian sports.
“Everybody is talking about Nigerian sports going down. They are all talking about the need to develop sports in this country, but no one is looking at the reasons for the poor conditions we find ourselves in.
“Many are blaming the director, Amos Adamu for the problems, but that is not true. It’s actually Hassan Gimba that should take the blame.
“He is the one who has to approve money for programmers, but he is not doing so. It’s Gimba we should blame for the problems of Nigerian sports,” he stated emphatically.
