Globacom Premier League: Enyimba In Ocean Battle

By STEVE OMA-OFOZOR

ABA-Emyimba Football Club of Aba have scores to settle with Ocean Boys football club of Brass as they clash in their first premier league match of the new season today inside Enyimba International stadium in Aba.

Actually they have scores to settle” following Enyimba’s agonizing defeat in the hands of Bayelsa state club which eventually sent Enyimba packing from the 2008 FA cup competition.

This underscores the importance of today’s encounter as a titanic battle giving the fact that the visiting Ocean Boys would definitely attempt to stamp their supremacy over the Peoples Elephant.

However, if Enyimba ‘s form in the continental campaign so far is to be relved on then it may not be business as usual for the Bayelsa Boys.

Only about four days ago the Peoples Elephant walloped visiting AL-Hilal of Sudan by 4-1 in a CAF Champions League tie.

The Elephant is sure to replicate that form according to pumdits against the backdrop that the attacking pearls like Otoungu, Akueme, Owoeri are presently in their killer mood.

But, the Ocean Boys captain Blessing Okardi would always say they are prepared and equal to the task.

Hence league followers will be watching out to see if the Elephant can survive the tide of the Brass Ocean.
