EHOR – Forum of Councillors, Edo State, has re-affirmed the election of Comrade Ehidiamen Andrew Young, as Chairman of the Forum.
This was part of the outcome of the election conducted yesterday by the Forum of Councillors which took place at Ehor, the administrative headquarters of Uhunmwode Local Government Council.
The Election by the Forum of Councillors which was presided over by the chairman forum of legislative leaders, Edo State, Hon. Okungbowa Osayande, also saw Hon. Hondus Alede emerging as Secretary, Hon. Philip Asoro, Publlicity Secretary while Hon. Ukhurebor Roland was elected deputy chairman.
Hon. Osayande tasked the newly elected executive members of the forum of councilors to strive for unity since they had resolved to put aside their differences for one formidable body.
Chairman, Forum of Councillors, Edo State, Hon. Ehidiamen Andrew Young, expressed satisfaction at the peace which had returned to the body, noting that the election had laid to rest, the various factions that had existed within the forum of councilors in the state.
Hon. Andrew Young appealed to Council Chairmen in the state to strive to always carry along the legislative arms of their various councils which he identified as the only way to enhance the much desired development of the grassroots.
The Chairman, Forum of Councillors, state, re-affirmed its unflinching support and loyalty to Governor Oserheimen Osunbor in view of his on-going infrastructural development, and sued for sustenance.
Meanwhile, the Forum of Councillors, Edo State had felicitated with the leader, Oredo Legislative Arm, Hon. Fausta Iyaegbe for emerging as the South-South Co-ordinator of the National Forum of Councillors.
