ABUJA – Traders participating at the Abuja Boot Motor Fair have expressed appreciation to the Bostonbug Media, the organisers of the event, over the timeliness of the show.
Mr David Kim, one of the traders at the fair, told newsmen in Abuja that he was happy over the the event because he had made a lot of sales.
Kim, who sells babies’ wears, expressed gratitude to the organisers.
He said that the fair had made him to make more contacts and profits for his business.
According to him, since the organisers of the fair charge the traders little money on the space provided, goods were cheaply sold to the customers.
Kim said traders paid N15,000 on the car space they occupied.
He explained that one of the challenges faced in the fair by the traders was the distance of the fair to customers coming from the Nyanya –Mararaba axis of the FCT.
Mr Michael Mark, the Manager of Amanda Hair limited, said that the fair gave him an opportunity to showcase his goods also make new customers.
Mark said due to the fair, he reduced the cost of his wares to minimum price, to ensure that many customers patronised him.
He said that Peruvian Hair, usually sold at N35,000, went for N25,000 while Fumy Hair, which was normally sold at N90,000 now went for N80,000.
Mark said that one of the challenges he faced was that the fair was not given much publicity by the organisers.
Mark said that due to this, many customers did not come to the fair.
Mrs Ngozi Ejike, a customer and a civil servant, thanked the organisers for the business.
Ejike said as a civil servant, he was happy that the venue was nearer to the Federal Secretariat where she worked.
The boot fair, involving traders displaying their wares in car boots, started on Wednesday at the Millennium Park, Abuja.
