The spirits of fear attack people in several ways but before we look at these, we must understand what fear means. Fear is defined as a feeling of distress, apprehension or alarm caused by an impending danger or pain. This fear is different from that of awe, reverence which the fear of God entails.
Thesaurus gives us many synonyms for fear -consternation, dismay, dread, fight, horror, panic, qualms, terror, nightmare, phobia, foreboding; and many more.
I remember what happened to me one night when my father asked his brother’s wife to accompany me to lrrua township to draw debt. I had come from the college but no money to pay my school fees. This was between 7pm and 8pm through a lonely road, surrounded by trees. We moved on and at midway between Agua and lrrua township, we looked back and there was fire falling tram treesl My head swelled with fright. That was witchcraft manifestation.
Fear causes many things such s goose flesh, rashes, swelling of the head, urinating on the body etc. Fear is an instrument which Satan and his cohorts use to terrohse people.
You can see how wide the areas in which the spirit of fear attacks human beings. This evil spirit is active or is behind many things, many of which appear innocuous.
The scriptures talk about fear. Psalm. 118:5-6 says “I called upon the Lord in distress, the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what man can do unto me”. Habbakuk 3:16, 18- 19 says ‘When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice:
Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled In myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops”. Fear paralyses people and weakens their defences. It put them on the defensive.
You must rise above fear if you want to succeed against the spirit of fear that manifests, as we have seen, in any areas of human life. The scriptures tell us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (fear) but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (a sound mind).God recognizes that man is prone to fear hence Re gave us 366 “fear nots” in the Bible, one for each day including the leap year. Let us mention some of these” fear nots” and see what they do for us:

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be but neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I gave Egypt I ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
* Overshadowing care – Matthew 10:30-31 “But the very hairs of 4 head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
A careful study of the areas of attack you will see that they affect the mind, which is the seat of our emotions. Once the mind is successfully attacked, demons take control and lives are destroyed.

You said You will not fail him. You asked Joshua to be strong and courageous. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I know that You are with me, Your rod and staff shall comfort me (Psalm 23:4).You gave me power to tread on serpents a scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by no means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Father You ask me to fear not because You are with me, You promise to strength me, to help and uphold me with Your right hand of righteousness, Isaiah 40:10. You let me know that he that is in me is greater than he that he is in the world, (1 John 4:4). You are my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear. The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid, Psalm 27:1. You are a shelter for me and a strong tower from my enemy (Psalm 61:3).
