BENIN CITY – The newly elected lawmaker representing Orhionmwon East Constituency I in the Edo State House of Assembly, Mr. Nosayaba Okunbor, has expressed gratitude to his people for their massive support that precipitated his victory in the just concluded State House of Assembly elections held across the state, just as he has promised a qualitative representation devoid of sentiments to the people.
Mr. Nosa Okunbor made his intention known to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER, weekend, in Benin City.
He posited that he could not have won the election with landslide if not for the massive support and commitments from the people of his constituency.
He, however expressed gratitude to the APC leaders, especially the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, who found him worthy of the exalted position in the state and promised not to breach the trust and confidence reposed in him by building on the legacy of his boss, the deputy governor, just as he assured them of his total commitment to ameliorating the sufferings of the people through coordinated legislation that would sustain the development strides of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Rt. Hon. Pius Odubu-led government in the state, while he solicited the support of his constituents to enable him diligently legislate a law that would have positive change on them, especially sponsoring bills that would pursue a cause of good governance in the constituency.
Hon. Okunbor, who flayed at the neglect and decadence of infrastructures in the constituency, opined that his main priorities would be infrastructures and human capital developments which are hallmarks of an ideal democracy and advised the people of his constituency, especially the youths to eschew any acts capable of damaging their integrity.
