ABUJA – The Primate of All Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh, has urged Nigerian women to always live a healthy life style to enable their bodies cohabit with their spiritual life.
Okoh made the call in an interview with newsmen  at the 5th Abuja Anglican Diocese Women Sports Fiesta at the Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS) Apo, Abuja.
The Anglican primate noted that the spirit and the body must cohabit for there to be a balanced person.
“My advice to Nigerian women is that sporting events should not be the end of their activities; they should maintain a habit that should make them fit all the time.
“In other words, they should train not only for spiritual things; they should equally train the body because the spirit and the body must cohabit for you to get a balanced person.
“Women should eat healthy food, train the body and inspire the children to adopt a healthy life style,’’ he said.
Okoh urged the women not to end their exercise with the annual women sports fiesta but to ensure that they continued at home other forms of exercise with their husbands and children.
“They should try to walk out with their husbands at least once a week, jog, walk around or other forms of exercise to keep the body fit.
“With these the spirit will equally be alright,’’ he said.
Nkasiobi Okoh, wife of the Primate, told newsmen that this year’s event came behind schedule as it usually ushered in the Mothers’ Day Celebration.
She, however, urged Nigerian women to pray ceaselessly, especially at this time the country was transiting from one civilian administration to another.
“At this time, Nigerian women should continue praying; women should make praying part of themselves.
“It’s never too much for somebody to pray and they should commit the outgoing government, especially the incoming one into the hands of God that they should rule well,’’ she said.
The  sports fiesta saw eight archdeaconries in Abuja take part in 11 sports and recreational activities.
Durumi archdeaconry eventually dethroned Gudu to emerge champions of the fiesta.
