BENIN CITY – A bill for a law to make provision for the establishment of Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency has scaled second reading on the floor of the Edo State House of Assembly, leading the debate for the consideration of the bill, the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, Hon. Bamidele Oloruntoba said the bill seeks to domesticate  the law already passed by the National Assembly.
Hon. Oloruntoba said the bill if passed would develop the data base in the health sector for effective planning.
Hon. Emmanuel Okoduwa, member representing Esan North East (11) said the bill if passed seeks to set up an agency that would be made up of professionals.
The Lawmaker said the bill if passed would define and streamline health related issues in the state, adding that the state will benefit from various donors who  want to deal directly with the agency.
