A brace by Keagan Dolly and a goal from Gift Motupa saw South Africa demolish Zimbabwe 3-0 in their CAF U23 Championship Qualifier second leg at the Harry Gwala Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday night.

The 4-1 aggregate victory over both legs ensured that South Africa got their ticket to the CAF Championship finals in Senegal later this year.

As early as the first minute of the match South Africa opened the scoring with a great finish courtesy of Keagan Dolly. South Africa continued to dominate in this match taking full advantage of the home ground advantage.

In the ninth minute, Gift Motupa found the back of the net for South Africa with a classy finish inside the 18 area, giving South Africa a 2-0 lead.

In the 25th minute Dolly came close into finding a second goal when his chipped attempt was blocked by a defender. This saw South Africa going into the half time break with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half South Africa continued to dominate and in the 75 minute, Sibanda was brought down and got a free kick which was well saved by Golden Arrows ‘keeper Ricardo Goss.

Then Siphelele Ntshangase wasted a good opportunity to make the score three as he failed to finish properly in the 85 minute.

A few minutes later, Dumisani Zuma also tried his luck but the Zimbabwe goalkeeper Mukuruva made a very good save.

Just one minute before the full time whistle, Dolly scored his brace as he hit low set piece which somehow beat the Zimbabwe goalkeeper who should have done better.
