EKPOMA-Management of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma-Edo State has given ultimatum to membbers of cult groups in the institution to renounce their membership latest February 20, 2016.

A statement signed by the dean of students affairs of university, Prof. Isaac Aigbedion threatened to hand over all suspected cultists who fail to heed the call to law enforcement agencies.

According to the statement, the call became necessary due to the evil of cultism, and the current stance of the university management and the government on cultism.

“it is hope of the university management that such members of cult groupd, if any, will take advantage of this cairion call to renounce their membership.

“However, the university will hand over all suspected cultists to the law enforcement agencies for prosecution as provided by the law, should such members fail to heed this call”, the statement warned.

Meanwhile, the renunciation programme has been scheduled to hold from February 17 to 19, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church on campus,beginning fro 10:30am.
