Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the rescued of a nine-year old boy, Taiwo Korede, who had been chained and detained for weeks in a church premises.
In a statement signed by the NSCDC spokeman, Emmanuel Okeh, the NSCDC said officers who invaded the Celestial Church of Christ, Key of Joy Paris Ajiwo at Ajibawo, Ogun State on Friday immediately took the emaciated boy to health centre where the chains were removed after grueling hours to avoid hurting the victim.
The statement further added that the case has since been transferred to the appropriate authority for further investigation and prompt actions against the perpetrators of the atrocity.
