BENIN CITY – The Enigie in Ikpoba Okha, Esan Central, Owan East, Owan West Local Government Areas on last week offered royal blessings to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr Godwin Obaseki and his running-mate, Hon. Philip Shaibu as the party’s campaign train stormed the respective areas in continuation of its state- wide tour.
The Royal Fathers namely the Enogie of Egbaen/Ogbeson, His Royal Highness (HRH), Prof. Aduwa Ogiegbaen, the Okaijesan of Esan Land and Ojirrua of Irrua , HRH, Zaiki, William Momodu II, Onojie of Opoji, HRH, Zaiki Ehidiamen Okosun, Ojie of Ivbiaro and Clan Head of Ivbiaro Kingdom, HRH, Zaiki, Col. Salufu Elabor (Rtd) JP and the Clan Head of Ora, HRH, Zaiki, Mathew Ehijagbon Porta Imonah, Ohain I (Arah), commended Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the numerous gigantic developmental strides across the state including building ultra-roads, giving a face-lift to education through the execution of red roof school buildings, flood, erosion and storm water control, pipe-borne water supply, establishment of a brand new university at Iyamho.
These traditional rulers spoke on behalf of some other royal fathers that gathered in their respective palaces as they received the State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole when he came to present the APC Governorship Candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his running-mate, Hon. Philip Shaibu to the royal fathers for their support and blessing.
At each of the palaces, Governor Oshiomhole, who introduced the duo, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and Hon. Philip Shaibu to the traditional rulers, enumerated the various developmental projects executed within and outside their respective domains by his administration as well as seek their support, prayers and blessings for the APC gubernatorial ticket during the September 10, 2016 Governorship polls.
During these visitations to the different palaces, Mr. Godwin Obaseki acquainted the Royal Fathers with his commitment to continue the on-going infrastructure build-up across the state that Governor Oshiomhole had already laid the firm foundation.
He also expressed optimism that with his running-mate, Hon. Shaibu industries would be attracted to the state to boost agriculture and solid minerals for the creation of thousands of jobs for the unemployed youths, women would be empowered through provision of soft loans, more roads and schools within and outside their various kingdoms.
At the APS campaign flag- off at Irrua in Esan Central local government area, the party’s chieftains such as Chief Francis Inebgeniki, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Joe Okojie, the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Gideon Obakhan, Victor Eboigbe, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor(Administrarion), Hon. Frank Okiye and Theophilus Okoh reiterated that Governor Oshiomhole had built infrastructure across the state even in Esan land hence they asserted that Esan land had not been marginalized.
Also in Owan, the member representing Owan Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representative , Hon. Pally Iriase assured of overwhelming victory for APC at the governorship polls.
