BENIN CITY – Towards the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth- coming September 10, 2016 gubernatorial election in Edo State, Edo Daughters resident in Abuja  have donated Campaign materials to the APC’s candidate Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
Edo Daughters, which consist of  made the presentation during their solidarity visit to Mr. Obaseki in Benin city on Tuesday from where they also went to visit the Internally Displaced Persons IDPs’ camp at Uhogua in Ovia North East Local Government Area.
At the IDPs’ camp, the Edo Daughters donated food items including bags of rice and groundnut oil as well as toiletries, detergent and writing materials among others on behalf of the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
The aim of their visit is to lend their support towards the continuation of APC in government in Edo state which a course that the President’s wife is also fronting.
Before presenting the materials, the leader of the delegation, Mrs. Hailmary Aipoh acknowledged the positive impact
of APC government gas  made in the state  since the past seven and half years.
While expressing confidence that the coming of Mr. Obaseki would ensure the sustainability good governance in the state, Mrs. Aipoh on behalf of Mrs. Buhari and Edo daughters in Abuja pledged their support to ensure the victory of APC in the September 10, 2016 governorship  election.
Responding, the APC standard-bearer Mr. Obaseki, flanked by his wife Mrs. Betty Obaseki and the wife of his running-mate Mrs. Maryan Shaibu, thanked the women for the gesture and assured them that the girl-child education and women empowerment would be giving top priority in his administration.
At the IDPs’ camp, Mrs. Aip[oh on behalf of Mrs. Buhari encouraged the women, children and youths to remain peaceful and pray for Mr. Godwin Obaseki’s victory at the polls.
In her remarks, Mrs. Shaibu also conveyed the wishes of Mr. Obaseki to the IDPs for which they expressed profound joy and gratitude.
