Benin – Gov. Adams Oshiomhole has announced that uniform fee would henceforth be paid by indigenous and non-indigenous students of the state-owned Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo.

Oshiomhole made the announcement while introducing the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress at at a campaign in Ugbowo in Egor LGA on Wednesday.

He noted that it was one thing to make promises but another to have the brain and heart to apply resources to areas that mattered.

“Campaigns are not just for singing and dancing. It is a time to move away from politics of entertainment to politics of issues.’’

The candidate, Mr Godwin Obaseki, assured the people of Egor Local Government that his administration would create data bank for the unemployed youths in the area.

He made the promise in Ugbowo when his campaign train visited wards 4 to 10 in its ward to ward campaign.

Obaseki explained that the data would enable his administration, if voted into office, to generate statistics of unemployed youths in the area with a view to getting them gainfully engaged.

He also assured that his administration would give priority attention to moribund Benin Technical College to promote vocational and technical training before the end of 2016,.

He reiterated that his administration would be committed to job creation as well as women empowerment through micro financing.

Obaseki promised to build on the development and legacies of the out going administration of Adams Oshiomhole, describing infrastructure as the foundation building stage of development in the state.
