UBIAJA – Hon. Princes Andrew Ojiemhenkele, the Executive Chairman Esan South East Local Government Area has reiterated his administration determination to enhance the health need of the populace.
Hon. Ojiemhenkele disclosed this in Ubiaja, the administrative headquarters of the council when the state EU prime Executive paid him a courtesy visit.
The EU prime officers had embarked on 5- days seminar to train nurses in both privates and government primary health care centre across the area on basic guide for service provider on routine immunization.
Mrs. J.O Alkhuele, the spoke person thanked the council boss for the support and opportunity given to them, during the seminar.
She stated that the purpose of the seminar was to strengthen the routine immunisation service and improved coverage.
In the same vein, she also solicited for EPI vehicle which will enhance the local government officers movement around the TEN (10) wards of the council area.
She stressed that lack of mobility had hindered the dispenser of drugs on the remote parts of the local government area during the last immunisation programme.
In response, Hon. Ojiemhenkele stated that the administration placed more emphasis on health and education sector and promised to support the EPI . He lamented the high rate of mother and child mortality promising to do everything humanly possible to reverse the trend.
