BENIN CITY - Association of Nigeria (CFAN), Edo State chapter, yesterday conferred on the state Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Imasuen, the “Life Patron” of the association.
The conferment was sealed with the presentation of CFAN membership card to the deputy governor by the chapter chairman, Elder Monday Izedonmi, at a brief ceremony in Government House, Benin City.
Appreciating the honour, Mr. Imasuen applauded the dedication, interest and steadfastness of cocoa farmers in the state.
While urging them to sustain the spirit, he promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Mr. Izedonmi had earlier informed the deputy governor that the honour became necessary to appreciate the lift cocoa industry and CFAN had received under Mr. Imasuen’s leadership as chairman of National Cocoa Development Committee, (NCDC), in the state.
While paying tribute to the deputy governor for his leadership role, Mr. Izedonmi sued for more capacity building, both at the local and international levels.
