Mrs. Juliet Samuel Runs For Dear LifeOKORO – Communal crisis has continued to rock Delta State communities with no end in sight despite police intervention. Most times, oil wells as well as boundary disputes have often been the cause of communal crisis in this area.
This paper investigation revealed that the fire outbreak killed one Mr. Emmanuel Samuel and two of his children as Mrs. Juliet Samuel was lucky not to be at home when the fire incident occurred.
It was gathered that the fire started at about midnight and could not be put off until the early hours of the following day. Sources close to the late Mr. Emmanuel Samuel’s family said the villagers in that community are suspects because Okoro villagers and the family of Late Mr. Emmanuel Samuel and one Mrs. Juliet Samuel had some differences between them which they suspected led to the arson. Details of this incident however was not made available to this paper as at the time of filing in this report. |
