Partner with Edo government, Commissioner tasks union

BENIN CITY – The Edo State Commissioner for Energy and Water Resources, Mr. Alex Okoh has enjoined the Okaigbe progressive Union, Warri branch to partner with the state government in the social and political development of Ewohimi Community.


The Commissioner who made the call while playing host to the union recently in his office at the Government House, Benin, noted that government alone cannot provide the developmental needs of the people, hence the need for partnership towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.


He said that the Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s interest to provide succour for the people of Edo Central informed the governor’s choice to appoint him as the Commissioner for Energy and Water Resources.


Earlier, the President of the Okaigbe Progressive Union, Warri branch, Mr. Anthony Ikhile said that they were on the courtesy visit to commend the present administration under the able leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, noting that the community had been marginalized by past administrations.


Mr. Ikhile appealed to the Commissioner and Samuel Eboigbe, a community leader to join hands to give the community a new lease of life.


He thanked the Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his wife, Clara, for their wealth of experience to transform Edo State.
