YOBE Government has said it would support NYSC members, who engaged in meaningful community development projects during their service year.
Gov. Mamman Ali said this in Fika at the closing ceremony of the orientation course of the new corps members posted to the state.
The governor, represented by Alhaji Zannah Laisu, the Commissioner for Transport
and Energy, assured them that enabling environment would be provided for corps members to excel.
He urged them to also engage in programmes such as awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS.
Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya, the state NYSC board chairman and Commissioner for Youths,challenged the corps members to integrate in their respective host communities for a fruitful experience.
Yusuf assured them that they would enjoy the hospitality of the people saying, “you should feel at home”.
He expressed the government’s commitment to their welfare throughout the service year and advised them to respect the laws, shun drug abuse and other social vices NYSC to mobilise 35,000 corps members in Batch ‘C’
