UYO –Rangers International Football Club of Enugu Technical Adviser, Christian Chukwu (MON) has vowed to maintain the winning tempo with which they have started the 2008/09 NPL season.
This is against the backdrop of the Flying Antelopes’ scintillating performance in week 2, pipping Akwa United of Uyo by a frustrating 1-0 in Uyo Stadium.
“I am very happy my boys lived up to expectation in such a crucial away match. The season is just beginning, there is no choice than for us to maintain the standard because we have a mission this season and it is good to start well.
“Also, I want to believe that with the government now responding to our needs, we will achieve our goal this season because to whom much is given much is expected, he emphasized.
Build up to the week 2 clash, coach Chukwu fondly called “chairman” by admirers had said he will experiment some of his new signings, as majority of them were not opportuned to play in the first home game against JUTH of job.
Thus, John Nnam’s 75 minute free kick was all the Coal City boys and supporters needed to sing home a victory song for delight of other teeming fans and the sports loving governor Sulivian Chime.
