Observer Acting GM assures AIDS Committee

BENIN CITY – As part of its awareness campaign towards sensitizing the people on the need for them to know their HIV\AIDS status, the World AIDS Day Committee has embarked on nation-wide tour to ensure that the people become aware of their HIV/AIDS status.


Led by the State Project Manager of the State Action Committee on AIDS (SACA) on a courtesy visit to the Bendel Newspapers Company Limited (BNCL), Publishers of The OBSERVER titles last Thursday in Benin City, Mrs.

N.O. Igbinoba had said that the Committee deemed it necessary to pay the visit because of the need for the people to know their AIDS status and to solicit the company’s support towards ensuring success of the World AIDS Day which comes up on December 1, 2008.


The team leader urged the people to adopt precautionary motive, having known their AIDS status.


The Acting General Manager of BNCL, Mr. Dennis Omoregie pledged the company’s support in any area necessary to ensure success of the World AIDS Day, adding that the company was however committed to render its publicity assistance towards anything that is of benefit to the people.
