OWERRI - Heartland have appealed to their fans not to despair over the team’s poor showing in the League as they are ready to show a better form.
Heartland disappointed their fans after they shared points at home with newly promoted side, FC Abuja and later lost their second game to Sharks 1-0 at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Media officer of the club, Cajetan Nkwopara insists the team has gotten over the disappointment and are now poised to bounce back.
“Our problem is not on the calibre of players we signed because we have a good team but we made bad mistakes and I think we have come to the end of such mistakes,” he said.
Nkwopara said in both games, Heartland created chances but their players failed to convert them.
He also cited blending as one of the problems the team encountered.
“The coaches will now work on ball control and the finishing. This team will definitely play better and start winning,” he added.
“I want to appeal to our fans to be patient with us. Of course, we’ll yield to their demand which is good performance.”
Heartland will play their next home game against Ocean Boys of Yenegoa at the Sam Okwaraji Memorial Stadium in Orlu; their second home; on Wednesday, and the Media Officer said the team will also pray for a better luck.
