BENIN CITY- As part of measures to raise the standard of education in Edo State, the state Ministry of Basic Education has concluded plans to re-introduce the popular quiz competition among public junior secondary schools across the state.
According to a statement signed by the ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Austin Otas- Osegbe, the maiden edition of the competition will kick off at the local government level today, September 26, 2008 from where winners would proceed to the Senatorial level elimination series.
The Senatorial winners are expected to slug it out at the grand finale slated for October 9,2008 at the main Hall of Imaguero College, Benin City.
The competition is being organized by the State Ministry of Basic Education and sponsored by Zenith Bank plc.
The participant will be tested in four core subjects including Mathematics English Language Social studies and Current Affairs.
