Egor, Esan Central Lift Igbinedion Cup

BENIN CITY – After 8 days of football artistry by Edo 18 Local Government Area Under 16 male and female teams in the just concluded Chief G.O. Igbinedion (JP) birthday anniversary football event, Esan Central Local Government defeated Thomar FC from Oredo 2-0 to lift the male trophy while Egor Local Government outplayed Etsako West 2-1 to lift the female trophy on Thursday 11th September.

The large crowd that watched the epic colourful final were mostly youths who love good football.
Owan East Local Government was declared the most disciplined team of the tournament.
Apart from the trophies Esan Central and Egor teams were given some financial rewards.

In a victory voice, the Supervisor for Sport, Egor LG, Hon. Nosa pleaded with his sport loving Chairman Hon. C.O. Eribo to sponsor its victorious team to Fugar for the Chief Mike Oghiadomhe cup starting today at Fugar.
