UROMI - The recent victory of the Peoples Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in the Appeal Court has been described as a clear demonstration of God’s answer to the prayers of the good people of Edo State.
This assertion was made by a chieftain of the Action Congress and MD/CEO, PATSBOLO (NIG) Ltd., Engr. Patrick Okpebholo (Esq) in Uromi at a colourful reception organised in honour of leaders and members of the Action Congress (AC) in the area.
Speaking at the occasion, Engr. Okpebholo said: “My interest and motivation into active participation and investment in the political game plan of Uromi in particular and Edo State in general under the AC, is to bring about a radical and positive change in the hitherto status quo of imposing candidates, absolute lack of infrastructural development and the foisting of people in Diaspora that have never contributed anything to the socio-political and economic development of the land.”
While reiterating his commitment and interest in the rapid development of Edo State, Engr. Okpebholo also called for prayers and support from everyone to enable the Peoples Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole succeed during his tenure as governor of the state.
Engr. Okpebholo also commended members of the AC for their patience until victory was achieved, but however enjoined them to be steadfast, honest and courageous and pragmatic in all party activities.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Action Congress, Esan North East Local Government Area Chapter, Mr. Joe Usifoh thanked Engr. Okpebholo for the wonderful reception and described him as a Nigerian of a very rare breed, a philathropist and strong member of the AC.
According to Comrade Usifoh, Engr. Okpebholo has been a strong pillar behind the AC.
In their remarks, Hon. Philip Olumense, an AC Senatorial Leader, extolled the sterling qualities of Engr. Okpebholo and described him as a blessing to humanity.
Present at the ceremony were notable PDP stalwarts including Hon. P.I. Ebosele, Prince Godwin Iyere, Apostle Inegbedion, Hon. Okosun, Mr. Clement Ewaleifoh, Mr. Sylvester Ajede, among others.
