IGARRA - The traditional ruler of Igarra kingdom, HRH Oba E.A Saiki II; JP has said that the recent palliative measures of Comrade Governor Adams Oshiomhole presents an important opportunity for transforming and renewing the peoples economic and social security in the state.
According to the monarch, Edo state has never enjoyed these unprecedented democracy dividends since the time of Gov. Ambrose Alli and for Governor Adams Oshiomhole to have done these shows his level of commitment to alleviate the sufferings of the people.
“Of particular note is the reduction in the education fees of Ambrose Alli University and the free education declared for public primary and secondary schools in the state.
This robust and progressive respite will reverse the extreme poverty and inequality of parents to afford quality education for their wards and children,” he said.
Oba Saiki further stated that the governor recognises the pains of the people, adding that with this effort, he has made life better for our people.
“Governor Oshiomhole’s commitment to making the welfare of Edo State people supreme, the transformational development, respect for the rule of law and his appetite to satisfy his political objectives is laudable and demands maximum support from our people,” he opined.
He, however, implored him not to relent in devoting more resources, time and energy to the structural development of the state to make his score card unequalled in the history of successive administrations in the state.
